“Once A Day”
Deb Rule is a mixed media artist, whose process consists of layering heavy paper with wet and dry mediums. Her work reflects various anxieties many of us carry, ranging from simple social interactions to career choices to even health care. Her work is an attempt to open the lines of communicaton about these anxieties.
Rule received her BFA in Studio Art/2D from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2015. Upon graduation, Rule was awarded a Studio Assistantship with Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, where she continued to expand her studio practice. She currently lives, works, and exhibits in Knoxville, TN.
